Terms & Conditions

Cancellation Policy

We generally do not require a deposit, however we do reserve the right to charge a deposit of either £50.00 per person or 25% of the value of your booking whichever is the greater in the event of cancellation. In addition any reservation cancelled within 7 days (14 days if you have used an O.T.A. e.g. Expedia, Booking.com, Trivago; etc) of the arrival date or if you fail to arrive (You are a no show) is liable to be charged for unless the accommodation is re-let to another guest. If all or part of a stay is cancelled after arrival, the full cost of your stay as booked will remain payable. We would recommend that you purchase suitable holiday/cancellation insurance to cover should you need to cancel your reservation.

General Policy

Booking Terms

Credit/Debit Card information is required in order to guarantee your reservation. Please be sure to insert a correct Credit/Debit Card Number. Your card details must be valid for the period up to and including the duration of your stay with us. If your card expires before your stay with us please call us as soon as possible to advise the new expiration date and security code, otherwise your reservation will be cancelled without notice!!!

Bookings

When a booking is made then a contract between you our guest and us (Overcombe Hotel Ltd. T/A Overcombe House) comes into effect. We will confirm your reservation either in writing or by email once we have received and verified your Credit/Debit card details. On departure your bill is payable in full & can be settled by Credit/Debit Card; please note we no longer accept payment by Cash, American Express, Diners Club or Cheque. In addition you must be able to enter into a legally binding contract and be over 18yrs to make a booking.

Prices

Rates are per room per night inclusive of breakfast, for the number of people agreed on the confirmation. Rates do not include other costs you may choose to incur during Your stay (unless otherwise stated). Should you change the number of guests, dates or room nights, then the rates are subject to change.

Arrival & Departure

Check-in times are between 17:00 hrs & 20:00 hrs, check-in times outside of those specified must be agreed with Us prior to arrival. The Check-out time is by 10:00 hrs.

Parking

We do have on site parking for up to 7 vehicles; regrettably, it is not possible to reserve a parking space. You are welcome to use our carpark if desired. Overcombe Hotel Limited T/A Overcombe House, is not responsible for any theft, loss or damage to any vehicle or their contents. All vehicles and contents are parked on our carpark are entirely at the owners risk!

Conditions

We have some standard rules that are designed to ensure that we comply with regulations relating to matters such as fire, health and safety, and to enhance the comfort and wellbeing of our guests. We reserve the right to terminate your Booking immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation where you engage in unacceptable behaviour that causes a disturbance or nuisance to other guests.

Non-Smoking policy

We operate a strict non-smoking/vaping policy throughout our establishment and request that all guests respect our wishes. As a condition of booking, if it is found that a guest has been smoking/vaping within any room then a charge of £250.00 (two hundred and fifty pounds sterling) will be billed to the credit or debit card used in the initial booking, this charge will be used cover cleaning costs and any loss of income should the room not be able to be re-sold immediately after your departure, you must accept these terms.

Group Bookings

We reserve the right to refuse any ‘same sex’ group bookings, where it is found to be for ‘stag’ or ‘hen’ nights.

Children & Pet Policy

We regret that we are unable to accept children under the age of 18 years of age. We are unable to accept dogs (excepting assistance dogs) or any other pets within the property.

Data Protection

We may process the information You provide to us for the purposes notified by us to the Information Commissioner. By making a booking, You consent to this processing of information.

Room Servicing

We have introduced a system of “servicing on request”. We are quite happy to service your room on a daily basis if required, so if you do want your room servicing please let us know at breakfast time. In the event that you do not want your room servicing, but you require further hospitality supplies, toilet rolls or clean towels etc, etc then please request them at breakfast.
